Original Antique French Red White Heart Trade Beads Gradient Strand Early 1800s

These are French red white heart beads, they predate Venetian red white hearts and are much more rare. They are late 18th to early 19th century beads in excellent condition still on the original trade cord. This is an in tact trade strand.

Shades of red range from deep Ruby red, to lipstick red, to bright cherry red, to pinkish red.

A few of the beads on the strand are translucent pony beads without white hearts. They are beautiful and are my favorite part of the strand.

2.5-3mm avg diameter beads. 25" strand, 10-11 beads per inch so at least 250 beads.

The last picture is of similar French beads from a different strand that I am selling as loose beads. I put this picture so you can see the white hearts, and variations in core thickness. Note that the white to ivory white French cores are slightly transparent. French beads like this of this era were also fire polished which you can see in the close up photos.
